Already halfway done, and LOVING this book to bits. so far . . . Just hired this from the library and I'm going to start it this weekend.
It is a highly referenced text in prenatal yoga teacher training and I'm excited to read it from front to back to help build my confidence for the upcoming birth.

Rating: 4/5 This book was unlike anything I've ever read before. It was full of research that had been collected over decades, and for that reason I did have to take my time reading it. All the case studies were fascinating and I reread many sections to make sure I had fully grasped the concepts. I loved how the book outlined different parenting concepts from all over the world, particularly Europe, the USA and Africa. This was a Christmas gift from my dad, and I'm so glad he got it for me because I wouldn't normally grab such a scientific book off the bat.
Starting this today!
Per usual, I will come back on here and give it a rating once I finish it! So far, so good.... Started reading this book, but I've only made a very small dent so far. I'm excited to finish my parenting books and then get stuck into this little number once I return home to Melbourne and need to put my feet up for a few hours a day. Update 29/1 : I read this book in five days, it was such a page turner. I really enjoyed the story, the poetic language and getting lost in some fiction for a change. Rating: 4/5 |
